This is a tricky Maths question that Karishma shared:
There are 7 girls in a bus with no driver.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat, there are 7 little cats.
How many legs are there in the bus? (Not the wheels)
Can you answer it?
7x2=14=no. of girls legs
ReplyDeleteeach girl=7x7-49 big cats 49x7=343 small cat
49+343=392
392x7=2744
2744+14=2758
ANS:2758
74=14no. of girls leg
Deleteeach girl=7x7=49 big cats 49x7=343 small cats
49+343=392
392x7=2744
2744x7=19108
19108=14=19122
ANS:19122
Miss Zhou my first reply was wrong so do not look at it.
DeleteGood try, Meng Yuen...Why did you add 49 to 343?
DeleteMiss Zhou,the paper has the answers on it so you can tell them the answers if needed

ReplyDeletethere are 7 girls, so 7x2 (2 legs per girl)= 14
ReplyDelete7 girls x 7 back packs= 49 backpacks
49 backpacks x 7 cats= 343 big cats
343 x 4 legs (on the big cats)= 1372
343 big cats x 7 little cats= 2401 little cats
2401 little cats x 4 legs= 9604 legs
so then 14 legs of girls +1372 legs of big cats +9604 legs of small cats= 10990 legs in total
Wow! I like your detailed explanation here, Rich! Keep it up!
DeleteWOW THE EXACT SAME THING I WROTE UP GOOD JOB RICH
